September kid pictures

random pictures from the month of September

The train conductor ensemble came from g'ma Marge. It's amazing to see how well those bibs fit in these pictures compared to how short they became on him by the time Halloween rolled around.

notice the clipboard to his side?

This picture was taken at the Quarry Hill Fall Festival. Conrad was doing a bee obstacle course which included collecting some pollen (in hands) while wearing special glasses (not on) and antennae and then returning to the "hive" to deposit said pollen in holes (think bean bag toss).

We went to fall festival immediately following church which is why he's dressed up. It was the rainy Sunday of the month so it worked well to have the festival to attend.

love, love, love - More September pictures

These are my "proud mama pictures".

(helping with dishes)

September - gardening (of course)

The kids and I kept very busy in the garden. I was busy harvesting, in the pick it and put it in a basket kind of way; the kids were busy harvesting in the pick it and eat it kind of way. Hot items this month were raspberries and cherry tomatoes.

The clipboard? It's Conrad's thing - he seems to have a notebook, clipboard, or notepad with him all the time at home. (and sometimes while running errands) He writes, he draws, he creates charts or graphs. As I write this post nearly 3 months after the pictures were taken, I note that he's traded in his paper for mittens and skis. More about that when I get to December pictures. :)

September! Hiking and Biking.

September was a good month. We tried to do something non-project related every Sunday that month. We went biking on the Root River trail one afternoon which is always beautiful. We had a late start though, and then rested a bit too long before heading back to the car which resulted in an unplanned moonlit bike ride. It was a nearly full moon too, and we watched it rise as we were biking so it was quite a memorable ride.

The next biking adventure we stayed in Rochester, with two short stops. Once for Dairy Queen ice cream and once for playing at a park. (see the "kids" playing? Tim is the one in green, near the top)

Another afternoon we went hiking at a state park.
