Late summer on the prairie is a time like no other. Last weekend we enjoyed beautiful weather - for three days! Yeah long weekends! Every night was cool and comfortable for sleeping, every day was sunny and perfect. We went for more walks around the prairie and found a new set of flowers in bloom.
One morning (after sleeping until nearly 8am!) Tim and Conrad took out the plane.Conrad enjoyed watching it glide, but I think he also got a kick out of watching Tim wade through long grass to retrieve it.
Another highlight of the weekend was biking on the Root River Trail. Twenty miles, and the ice cream tasted so yummy in Preston.
