The trip home was much less eventful, and three days passed surprisingly fast. The kids did quite well - good job me for being so prepared with snacks and activities to do in the car. ;-)
And to reward the kids (and us!), we found a nice hotel to spend our last night of vacation. Love our iPhones! This place in Nebraska had cookies at checkin, a nice pool, comfy beds, guest laundry, and the best breakfast we've ever had at a hotel. The last day was "only" 6 hours of driving so we slept in, took our time eating breakfast, and went swimming before checking out. And STILL made it to Rochester before Trader Joe's closed for the night.
