Isn't she the cutest little hiker? A couple weeks ago we needed a break from routine, and the colors along the river were rumored to be just passing peak. So after church one morning we packed up a few things and started driving.
We discussed a couple different destinations, and settled on Perrot State Park in Wisconsin. Tim and the kids had been there before, but this was my first visit.
After completing a hike, we got back on the road and drove a bit before stopping for a picnic. Then drove a bit further and stopped at a rest area to move a little more (and there were trains! both kids like trains!)
Then drove a bit further and who can possibly drive through Nelson and NOT get ice cream or cheese curds? We had both. Yum. From there it was homeward bound - yikes! nearly bed time by the time we returned to the prairie. Wouldn't have changed a thing though, it was a great Sunday drive.
